Impact Investing Working Party – Deputy Chair and members

Application closing date: 23 November 2025

The IFoA is seeking to appoint a Deputy Chair and members to the newly formed Impact Investing Working Party in the finance and investment practice area. We welcome applications from both members and suitably experienced non-members.

The working party aims to look at the considerable legislation and policy changes being initiated in 2025 to attract investment in areas that have scope to deliver impact. The group will analyse the current tailwinds and headwinds for both liquid and illiquid impact investments and will explore the role that actuaries can play to bring this into mainstream investment.

The group aims to create a how-to guide to develop the understanding of the concept and its place within the spectrum of capital, its scale and growth in the UK.

We are keen to hear from actuaries and other professionals working in investment funds, asset owners as well as investment consultants wishing to extend their investment strategies into impact investment.
