This role is hybrid, both working from home and in our Oxford hub. Attendance in the office is at least weekly.

Reporting into an Assessment Delivery Manager, the Executive – Assessment Delivery plays a key role in delivering the assessment processes within specified time limits. The post holder will ensure the learners of the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ (IFoA) experience a fair and consistent assessment service whilst maintaining the integrity of the qualifications offered.
Working with the examiners and IFoA colleagues the post holder will support several assessments within the remit of the team. This includes the preparation of the assessment, and supporting materials through to checking, and reporting of the assessment results to support the Board meetings and subsequent release of these to ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ learners and ensuring accurately reflected in ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ database.
There are over 15,000 learners who are registered to sit the assessments relating to ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ qualifications. There are 26 assessments which run twice a year plus a further 3 assessments which can be sat throughout the year relating to ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ qualifications. All these assessments must be added accurately onto the exam platforms in sufficient time for the assessment to take place on the agreed date.
The role will support the processes required to ensure the accuracy of the assessment data of the learners entered onto the internal and external platforms working with external suppliers and IFoA colleagues to deliver all key assessment processes within the agreed dates. There are over 400 external examiners and markers that support this work whom the post holder will be engaging with.
To support the set-up and configuration of the internal database, exam platform and marking platform, ensuring all data is accurate and validated.
To support the Senior Executive – Assessment Delivery in the authoring of the exam questions onto the exam platform, ensuring that the process is carried out within the required timeframes and to the set standards. Liaise with colleagues involved in this process and raise awareness if deadlines are not going to be met.
To support the Senior Executive – Assessment Delivery in administering the access arrangement cases as defined by the Equality Act 2010. To ensure that accurate information is collated and entered onto the database which informs the assessment sittings and ensures the candidate is provided with the agreed support whilst ensuring that they are not placed at any advantage over other candidates.
To support the Senior Executive - Assessment Delivery in the delivery of the assessments to candidates, ensuring that the process is carried out within the required timeframes and to the set standards. Liaise with any external providers or personnel involved in this process and raise awareness if deadlines are not going to be met.
To support the collation of exam marking to ensure that examiners can produce the results information within set deadlines. To collate live marking outcomes, monitor where marking anomalies appear and feed back to the examiners to ensure accuracy of results and flag where deadlines are not being met.
To collate the documentation required for Mitigating Circumstances, liaising with candidates making applications, review for completeness and prepare the pack for the panel meeting within agreed deadlines.
To collate the reports required from the Chief Examiners (or nominee) during or following the assessment sitting
To support the delivery of the processes that ensure that candidates receive results, transcripts, and other information within the agreed timescales.
To work within the Assessment systems, processes, and procedures, proposing improvement recommendations where necessary.
To participate in system development, and associated testing protocols, to support operational readiness of all platforms that enable exam delivery.

The post holder will be required to support decision making during live examinations referring to rules and regulations and seeking guidance as required from the Senior Executive – Assessment Delivery
The post holder has to monitor the allocation of marking teams and raise awareness of any subsequent dropouts to ensure that ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ can meet the required timeframes. They will make recommendations for changes to these processes, and where training for education supporters may be required.
The post holder has to accurately enter complex data into ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ database and assessment questions on the appropriate platforms.
Suggest new ways of working to meet the changing needs of the assessment delivery process.
Handling data within GPDR guidelines and understanding when and where this data can be shared.
The postholder must be able manage their workload independently within general guidelines using judgement to resolve queries and escalate issues which require further attention.
The post holder has to collate large data sets to ensure the delivery of results and supporting management information within agreed deadlines
As a key team within the Engagement and Learning group, Assessment delivery provides assurances that those acquiring ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Associate or Fellowship qualification have completed the required assessment whilst maintaining the integrity of the exams. The Executive – Assessment Delivery plays a role in this area administering a wide-ranging portfolio including accurate data entry in complex examination systems, handling student queries, collation of exam marking and reports, and supporting mitigating circumstances. Through their professional administration of the services provided, they will monitor risks, dispatch communications, obtain reports from the database and network with external personnel. Any errors relating to the assessment area are very high profile and tend to attract attention from high level committees and volunteers and potentially external stakeholders such as the FRC (Financial Reporting Council) and employers.

Travel to main location approximately once a week. Travel to other locations events will be required (approx. twice a year with occasional overnight stays). The role does require some out of hours working during the sessions and the following weeks to support the delivery of the assessment and results (approx. 6 weeks in total twice a year).
