You are invited to join ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ More than Just Maths: Actuarial careers showcase at IFoA Life Conference in Edinburgh.  

If you really love maths and want a rewarding career where you can really make a difference, the actuarial profession is for you. Actuaries are problem solvers and strategic thinkers, who use their mathematical skills to help measure the probability and risk of future events. They use these skills to predict the financial impact of these events on a business and their clients. 

As part of the event, you will join a select group of students to learn more about what top employers are looking for, their graduate offerings and the exciting and varied work actuaries do. There will also be time to network and make connections with the employers in attendance, before experiencing elements of the landmark IFoA Life Conference*.  

Full programme

• 13:30 to 14:00: Student registration and lunch
• 14:00 to 15:15: Students join main conference plenary session
• 15:15 to 16:00: Actuarial careers showcase and employer spotlight presentations  
• 16:00 to 16:30: Students tour main exhibition hall and network with conference participants, including refreshments 
• 16:30 to 17:30: careers showcase resumes for networking with key employers
